For MSPs

Offboarding across your client tenants, from one account

A managed service provider running departures for twenty clients should not need twenty logins. Votra keeps each client in its own organization — with its own Microsoft 365 connection, roles and evidence — and lets you switch between them from the sidebar.

An MSP's version of the offboarding problem is worse than a single tenant's, because the same failure repeats at every client and nobody is watching all of them at once. The risk is not that you cannot do the work; it is that client B's orphaned SharePoint library is found during their audit rather than during their leaver's last week.

What one account actually gives you

  • One Votra organization per client, created from your account and switched via the sidebar.
  • One Microsoft 365 connection per client organization — the connection is scoped to the organization, so client tenants never share a credential.
  • Independent audit trails: each client's operations, approvals and evidence live in that client's organization, not in a merged report you then have to unpick.
  • Per-client roles. Owner, admin, operator and auditor are assigned within each organization, so a technician can be an operator on one client and an auditor on another.

The constraint worth knowing before you buy: billing is per organization

Plan and subscription state are held on each organization, so every client tenant carries its own subscription. A portfolio of ten clients running Starter is ten Starter subscriptions at $79/month each, not one pooled subscription. We would rather you have that arithmetic in front of you than discover it during onboarding.

If that multiplication is the thing that stops the deal, say so on the first call. Volume across a client portfolio is a conversation worth having early, and sales can take it to the decision before you have onboarded anyone — rather than after.

What stays the client's

The plan attached to a client organization is that client's. If you operate the tool on their behalf, you can act as their administrator — but the evidence their auditor receives is produced inside their organization, and their files are reachable only through the delegated Microsoft 365 permissions they consented to. Votra never downloads file contents; it works on ownership and permission metadata through provider APIs.

Where the value shows up first

Usually not in one spectacular client. It is the tail: the twentieth leaver you were not going to chase because they were small and quiet. Per-client evidence means you can answer “show me who approved this and what it touched” for any client in the portfolio without reconstructing it from tickets.

Try it on one client first

The 7-day trial runs one complete operation on one client tenant — discovery through signed evidence — before any payment. Most providers start with the client whose admin already trusts them, prove the workflow, then roll it out. See how it differs from doing it by hand.
